How it works

Each light fixture within the facility is equipped with a DALI ballast which has a built in communication interface.   Each ballast has its own network address to enable communication commands to be transmitted to each fixture.  Information is transferred according the open source DALI protocol, which is the industry standard, so that the overall lighting matrix can be controlled in a highly flexible and configurable manner.

By linking these devices together over an open-protocol communication network, each individual light fixture is rendered into an intelligent appliance that can automatically adjust its energy consumption in response to the price of electricity, user preferred lighting levels, ambient lighting conditions, the time of the day and the occupancy patterns of the facility.
